Discussion and possible action to authorize the purchase of Deputy and Correctional officers uniforms for the Webb County Sheriff’s Office from GT Distributors (Buy-Board No. 698-23) in an amount not to exceed $93,168.00 pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code; Sections 271.101, 271.102, Sub-Chapter F. Cooperative Purchasing Programs and any other matters incident thereto. [Accounts #1001-4070-001-456305 (uniforms) and #1001-3010-001-456305 (uniforms)]
Issue: The Sheriff’s Office is in need to replace existing uniforms. Standard practice is to replace them because of wear and tear. Replacements are given annually as needed, as per CBA.
Solution: Authorize the purchase using cooperative pricing under Buy-Board to GT Distributors. Funding is available under the Sheriff’s general fund budget.
Result: Order will be placed upon commissioners court approval.
