Discussion and possible action to authorize a one time expense to the Webb County Credit Card for the purchase of a 4 pack set of Rapid Radios Nationwide Push to Talk Walkie Talkies for an amount not to exceed $699.00 from Rapid Consulting LLC, and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: Requesting permission to use Webb County credit card for this purchase. Rapid Consulting LLC, does not accept purchase orders. Portable radios are needed for dead spots in rural county areas for road and bridge crews.
Solution: Authorize the purchase of a set of rapid radios to test its capabilities. No subscriptions and/or cell phone services are required. Nationwide range.
