Discussion and possible action to accept the rankings and award Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2024-014 "Architectural Services for Renovations to Road & Bridge, Planning, and Engineering Facility" to the highest-ranking firm, for Architectural Services for the design/schematics, development of construction cost estimates, preparation of construction documents for the bidding process and construction administration throughout the duration of project to close out for the renovations to the future Road & Bridge, Planning, and Engineering building (former FESCO building) located at the corner of Fesco Boulevard and Davy Ward Street, in accordance with the State of Texas Government Code; Professional Services Procurement Act and to further authorize General Counsel to negotiate the terms and conditions of the agreement and any other matters incident thereto. 

Issue: On July 22, 2024, item no. 9a. The Webb County Commissioners Court authorized the Purchasing Agent to secure a statement of qualifications for architectural services for the design/schematics, development of construction cost estimates, preparation of construction documents for the bidding process and construction administration throughout the duration of project to close out for the renovations to the future Road & Bridge, Planning, and Engineering building (former FESCO building) located at the corner of Fesco Boulevard and Davy Ward Street. 
 
Solution: Consideration to authorize the award to highest-ranking firm as recommended by the evaluation committee and the Purchasing Agent.
 
Result: If approved, General Counsel will negotiate the terms, conditions and related fees for a professional service agreement between Webb County and the awarded firm.
