Subject:
Discussion and possible action to authorize the donation of one (1) 2012 Ford 250 Super Crew Cab Truck - Unit No. 27-232 (VIN #1FTZW2AT7CEB43004) from the Webb County Sheriff's Office to the Mirando Water Supply Corporation (MWSC) pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code; §263.151 Disposition (a)(4)and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The vehicle being recommended for donation to MWSC is over 12 years old and has approximately 147,895 miles. By donating to a non-profit organization, it will continue to be utilized for public purposes unde the MWSC entity.
Solution: Consideration to authorize the donation of the subject vehicle for public purposes by MWSC and remove property from Webb County's capital asset records and vehicle insurance coverage.
Result: If approved, the vehicle will be legally transferred to MWSC and Webb County will be relieved of transportation or disposal expenses for subject property.
