Discussion and possible action to authorize the purchase of one (1) new Generac SD400 Series Diesel-Powered Generator to include but not limited to a new automated transfer switch, installation, freight, startup/commission and payment bond from Waukesha-Pearce Industries (Buy-Board Contract No. 657-21) in an amount not to exceed $156,482.00 for the Webb County Juvenile Detention Facility pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code; Section 271.101 & 271.102 (Sub-Chapter F. Cooperative Purchasing Program) and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-2450-001-470000 (Capital Outlay)]
 
Issue: The existing generator is over 15 years old and is no longer operable.  The facility needs backup power in the event there is a power outage to keep operations running at the Juvenile Detention Facility. 
 
Solution: Consideration to authorize price proposal submitted by WPI utilizing cooperative pricing for the removal of an existing generator and installation of a new 400Kw Generac Diesel Generator to include startup and commission. 
 
Result: If approved order will be placed, ETA for delivery is 2-3 weeks.
