Discussion and possible action for the replacement and installation of a new automated jail door control system for the Webb County Juvenile Detention Facility from Johnson Controls (Sourcewell Contract No. 030421-JHN in an amount not to exceed $106,202.00 including the required payment bond and insurances pursuant to Sections 271.101 and 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code, Cooperative Purchasing Program; and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: On October 28, 2024, Commissioners Court authorized the Webb County Purchasing Agent to secure formal competitive bids/proposals for the replacement and installation of a new automated jail door control system for the Webb County Juvenile Detention Facility.

Solution: Consideration to authorize the use of a reputable vendor utilizing a cooperative contract that meets the competitive bidding requirements of the State of Texas.

Result: If approved, general counsel will proceed with the execution of a contract with Johnson Controls to replace and install a new automated jail door control system for the Webb County Juvenile Detention Facility.
