Discussion and possible action to approve the FY 2025 Community Service Block Grant Program (CSBG) Contract #61250004368 between the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) and the Webb County Community Action Agency (CAA) in the amount of ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY-EIGHT  DOLLARS ($122,688.00); authorizing the Webb County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. The contract shall commence on January 01, 2025 and shall end on December 31, 2025. This action concerns a grant contract; and, thus, will not have an impact on the General Fund. All required documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures. [Grant Fund #2368-5170-521]

Issue: The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has awarded Webb County Community Action Agency $122,688.00 of grant funds under the Community Services Block Grant Program (CSBG).

Solution: The Court’s approval and acceptance of grant funds will allow CAA to utilize these Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) grant funds to provide support services to eligible low-income residents of Webb County.

Result: The Webb County Community Action Agency will be able to assist eligible Webb County residents to transition out of poverty.
