Discussion and possible action to authorize the purchase and installation of a 13’ automatic vehicular chain link gate and fencing to include but not limited to cost of labor, fabrication, concrete, electrical, debris disposal and oversight of installation for the Webb County Justice of the Peace Pct. 4 Building located at 8501 San Dario from Benny Building and Maintenance Services, LLC., for an amount not to exceed $20,000.00 and to further authorize the transfer of funds from the General fund reserve – capital outlay Account #1001-1130-001-470000 to the JP Pct.4 Capital Outlay Account #1001-2180-01-470000 and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-2180-001-470000 (General Fund-JP Pct4 J R Salinas-Administration-Capital Outlay)]
 
Issue: Currently, the JP and Constables Office, Pct. 4 do not have a secured area to park for both elected officials and staff.  The automatic vehicular gate will provide secured access to County employees employed for both the JP Judge and for the Constables Office.     
 
Solution: Consideration to authorize the purchase and installation of automatic gate and fencing to the lowest and responsible bidder as presented by the Webb County Purchasing Agent. 
 
Result: If approved, the Purchasing Agent will secure vendors certificate of insurance and issue the Purchase Order for the improvements being requested.  No payment or performance bonds are required for this project.  County Engineering will provide oversight.
