Discussion and possible action to accept a donation of THIRTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($13,500.00) from the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL) to implement the Webb County Atmospheric Water Generator Pilot Program, which will provide Fifteen (15) atmospheric water generators and Five (5) years of filters to resident households of colonias adjacent to HWY 59 and Colonia La Presa; and authorizing the County Judge to act as the County's Executive Officer and Authorized Signatory regarding all matters related to the County’s involvement in the Atmospheric Water Generator Pilot Program. It should be noted that this pilot program does require a county in-kind match of NINE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY-ONE AND TWENTY-SEVEN CENTS ($9,841.27). All necessary documentation has been submitted to the Economic Development Department, and the solicitation aligns with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) policies and procedures.
 
Issue: The residents of colonias adjacent to US HWY 59 and Colonia La Presa lack access to a conventional water system for potable water.
 
Solution: To accept the donation to implement the Webb County Atmospheric Water Generator Pilot Program for the residents of colonias adjacent to US HWY 59 and La Presa.
 
Result: If the pilot program results successful, additional projects will be implemented to reach additional homes in colonias adjacent to HWY 59 and Colonia La Presa.
