Discussion and possible action to accept grant funding and enter into an agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Fiscal Year 2024 Economic Development Initiative (EDI) - Community Project Funding (CPF) for the project, El Cenizo Street Improvements Project for ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY-SIX THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-NINE WITH 00/100 ($1,766,279.00).  Authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents and any other matters thereto. All required documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department and the request complies with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures. There is no impact on the general fund. This grant award does not require a county cash/in-kind match.

Solution: Webb County accepts ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY-SIX THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-NINE WITH 00/100 ($1,766,279.00) from the US Department of Housing & Urban Development for the El Cenizo Street Improvement Project.

Result: The US Department of Housing & Urban Development award will allow roadway improvements adjacent to the El Cenizo streets. The Economic Development Department will ensure compliance with requirements from the funding agency.
