Discussion and possible action to approve the use of $2,800.00 from the Professional Services-Article 11.2 (Supplemental Services) from the Cavazos & Associates Architects PLLC., Contract; and authorize the County Judge to sign any relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #2703-5205001-206 (Professional Services-Southern Fire Station)]
Issue: During the construction of this project, AEP requested a signed and sealed electrical easement to provide service to the transformer. KCI, a sub-consultant of Cavazos & Associates Architects PLLC, had to survey the location of the conduit from the road to the transformer and develop an easement for AEP.
Solution: There is a line item for $9,100.00 in the Professional Services, for IT consulting, which will not be used on this project that can be used for the work done by KCI Technologies, Inc. This was not part of their original scope of work, and although the work has been completed already, they are requesting an amendment to their fees to cover the extra costs/time incurred during the easement process.
Result: Approval of agenda item so that payment can be made for work already done.
