Discussion and possible action to approve and accept funds in the amount of Eight Thousand Dollars ($8,000) from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) South Texas Development Council for the Fiscal Year 2025 Regional Solid Waste Grant Contract No. 25-19-02, which will reimburse the county on cash match funds spent and authorizing the Webb County Judge to be the Authorized Representative and any other matters incident thereto. The contract implementation schedule remains to run from December 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.  All required documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department, and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures. Issue: Webb County has identified the need for tire clean-up and collection campaigns.

Solution: To carry out clean-up campaigns that will address tire littering areas and pick up tires from colonia areas.

Result: Webb County will continue to collaborate with Code Enforcement, Building Maintenance, and the Road & Bridge Department for the collection and disposal of tires.
