Discussion and possible action to enter into an interlocal agreement with Nueces River Authority to update and enhance floodplain mapping, improve flood risk management and guide future mitigation planning with the County to pay Four Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand Four Hundred Two Dollars ($483,402.00) as part of a required match payable in ten annual installments of Forty-Eight Thousand Three Hundred Forty Dollars and Twenty Cents beginning January 1, 2026, to January 1, 2035 and any matters incident thereto; authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents.

Issue: The County seeks grant funding from the Texas Water Development Board Flood Infrastructure Fund to update and enhance floodplain mapping, improve flood risk management, and guide future mitigation planning recommended by the Amended 2023 Region 13 Nueces Regional Flood Plan.

Solution: Enter into an agreement with the Nueces River Authority where the Authority will assist in seeking grant funding and implementing the recommendations in return for a portion of the grant as consideration. 

Result: Webb County will be able to update its floodplain mapping, improve flood risk management, and plan for mitigation of future flooding.
