Discussion and possible action to purchase one (1) 2026 Chevrolet Traverse from Silsbee Ford (Tips Cooperative Contract No. 240901) in the amount of $41,623.00 with an option of a 7-years/ 125,000 MLS Bumper to Bumper Warranty for $4,500 for the Webb County Public Health Department pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code; §271.101, & §271.102, Sub-Chapter F. Cooperative Purchasing Program and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-5040-001-470000 (Capital Outlay)]
Issue: One of the Public Health Services Department’s existing vehicles will be reassigned to staff at the Bruni Public Health Facility in Bruni, Texas, for use in attending off-site vaccine clinics and community outreach health events in surrounding areas. To maintain transportation capacity for the department’s other programs, a new vehicle will be purchased to replace the unit reassigned to Bruni.
Solution: The purchase of a new vehicle will assist the transportation needs of all of our department's health programs.
