Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise a Competitive Sealed Proposal for the Casa Ortiz Roof Replacement and Restoration Project pursuant to the Texas Government Code; §2269.151 Contracts for Facilities (Competitive Sealed Proposals) and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: On August 12, 2024, Commissioners Court entered into an architectural service contract with Steven L. Tillotson, PPLC for the design, preparation of construction documents and construction administration for the Casa Ortiz Roof Replacement and Restoration project. Final construction documents for the bidding process will be ready from early to mid-October of 2025. 

Solution: Consideration to authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise a formal Competitive Sealed proposal for this project. The issuance of this advertisement will be contingent upon final review of the construction documents submitted to the Texas Historic Commission by Project Architect on behalf of the Owner and Webb County Commissioners Court authorization to advertise and fund the project for the FY 2026 budget year.  

Result: If approved, the formal solicitation will be issued this coming October subject to any and all directives authorized by the Commissioners Court.
