Discussion and possible action to enter into an Agreement for the performance between Webb County, Texas for the benefit of the TEND Court and MATH-A-MATICS TUTORING SERVICE PROVIDER, at a rate of Seventy-Five Dollars ($75.00) per hour. The tutoring services are for participants struggling with core subjects and elective courses for fiscal year 2026, authorizing the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents, and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: Youth need tutoring services in core subjects and elective courses.
Solution: Webb County's approval of the Agreement allows for court-ordered foster-placed children to be provided with much-needed tutoring sessions.
Result: The tutoring program will ensure appropriate tutoring services according to the needs of the children/youth to avoid gaps and potentially eliminate grade level retention due to lack of individual tutoring services.
