Discussion and possible action to approve and execute FY 2026 Federal Application 5311 Federal Rural Public Transportation grant from Webb County Community Action Agency to the State of Texas through TGEMS (TxDot) website in the amount of FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND TWO DOLLARS ($550,302.00) acting through the Texas Department of Transportation wherein Webb County El Aguila Rural Transit will be approving and executing and meeting desired deadlines, a nd designating the Webb County Judge as authorized official in all matters pertaining to this grant; and, any matters incidents thereto. This grant does not require a cash match, and thus will have no impact on the General Fund.  All required documentation has been submitted to the Economic Development Department for review and consideration and was found to be compliant with the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) policy.  [Requested by Webb County Community Action Agency]

Issue: Rural Transportation is a grant-funded agency.

Solution: Through the authorization of the court to approve and execute the federal application, Webb County will allow the department to receive funds.

Result: Approval and execution of the contract will ensure continuation of transportation services to the rural areas of Webb County.
