Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise a Request for Proposal to solicit a highly qualified entertainment / promotion management company to bring major events / activities to the existing Webb County 1848 Facility to include but not limited to, booking promotions, producing and marketing events, and ticket sale management in order to sell live entertainment consistent with the goals and discretion of the Webb County Commissioners Court and in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; §262.030 (Alternative Competitive Proposal Procedures for Certain Goods and Services) and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #2031-1010-001-432001 (Webb County Fairgrounds - Professional Services)]
 
Issue: The 1848 Management Team is in need of a qualified person / group that has the capacity and knowledge to promote and book /manage all major events at the existing 1848 Facility. 
 
Solution: Authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise a formal Request for Proposal which would allow interested parties to submit their sealed proposals for the services being requested.
 
Result: Secure formal proposals as authorized by Commissioners Courts and return to Commissioner Court with recommendations for selection of most qualified, best and final offer, if required and award.
