Discussion and possible action to approve the posting and filling of two new slots (grant-funded), subject to the availability of payroll funds and any applicable Civil Service guidelines, effective September 9, 2024 for the Drug Court Program:
Issue: Two full-time grant-funded Drug Court Counselors will provide co-occurring substance-use disorder and mental health treatment services to the Webb County Adult Drug Court Program Clients.
Solution: Request Authorization by the court for the posting and filling of these positions subject to availability of payroll funds and any applicable Civil Service Guidelines.
Result: Filling of two full-time counselors will help augment the work of the Webb County Adult Drug Court.
