Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise an Invitation to Bid for El Pico Road Extension Project pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code; Texas Purchasing Act and the Code of federal regulations §200.318 - §200.327 (General Procurement Standards) and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #2703-5205-001-474501 (American Rescue Plan Act of 2021-American Rescue Plan-Administration-Construction In Progress)] 

Issue: On March 11, 2024, Commissioners Court authorized the professional services with Top Site Civil Group for engineering and surveying services including but not limited to all necessary construction designs/drawings and specifications; construction cost estimates; preparation of construction documents for bid solicitation and construction administration through the duration of project up to closeout for El Pico Road Project; right of way identification, right of way widening, rehabilitation of a creek crossing and reconstruction of an approximate ½ mile section of the roadway.
 
Solution: Consideration to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit competitive bids upon delivery of construction documents (CD) completed by Top Site Civil Group.  
 
Result: If approved, the Purchasing Agent will post the formal bid solicitation when CD are delivered and ready for posting to secure competitive bids from general contractors.
