Discussion and possible action to reduce the ACH fee charged by the Tax Office through USA-Epay VCI formerly VeriCheck, Inc. to the Web Dealers from 1% to .50% per web dealer transaction and to authorizing the Webb County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. There will be no impact to the General Fund.
 
Issue: The State Motor Vehicle Department (DMV) requires that all web dealers pay their transactions-Sales via ACH, credit cards or other electronic method.  At the present time the Tax Office is processing ACH transactions through USA-Epay VCI formerly VeriCheck, Inc. at the cost of 1% to the Web Dealers. This fee can be modified depending on the number of transactions per month.  After almost two of web dealer transactions there has been a significant increase to the limits to the point that there will be an adjustment to this fee. 
 
Solution: Commissioners court authorization to renew contracts.
 
Result: To be in compliance with the Texas Motor Vehicle Department’s requirement for payment of web dealer transactions.
