Discussion and possible action acknowledging the continuation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Webb County for the benefit of the Webb County Sheriff's Office and Homeland Security & Investigations (HSI) for reimbursement of employee overtime (OT) incurred from joint law enforcement operations, for the performance period of October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025, in the amount of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) and approve the use of the Webb County Sheriff’s Office State Forfeiture funds to cover the applicable fringe benefits associated with this project's employee(s) overtime; and authorizing the Webb County Judge to sign all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. There will be no impact to the General Fund. [Fund #2601 (Homeland Security and Fund #2150 State Forfeiture Funds for Fringe)]

Issue: The MOU renews automatically annually, however, fringe benefits must be covered by the Webb County Sheriff’s Office.

Solution: Approve the continuation of the MOU with HSI and authorize the funding of fringe benefits to Overtime employees.

Result: Fringe benefits that are owed to the employee that performed Overtime under this MOU will be covered by the Webb County Sheriff’s State Forfeiture Fund at no cost the County’s General Fund.
