Discussion and possible Action to enter into a contractual agreement with SIMA Contractors, LLC for a Mailbox Relocation project along State Highway 359 for an amount not to exceed ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($155,550.00) and any other matters incident thereto, and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #2007-7150-001-470000 (Capital Outlay)]
 
Issue: Existing individual mailboxes along the shoulder/roadside on South Highway 359 serving residents living off Wawi Tijerina Parkway, Emiliano Road, and Welsch Road are in need of replacement. 
 
Solution: At the Commissioners Court meeting of October 4, 2024, the court awarded ITB 2024-009 “Webb County HWY 359 Mailbox Relocation Project to SIMA Contractors, LLC to do the Mailbox (Cluster Mailboxes) relocation work.
 
Result: The Contractor will substantially complete the project within ninety (90) calendar days from the issuance of the “Notice to Proceed” by the Engineering Department.

Existing mailboxes along the shoulder/roadside on South Highway 359 are in need of being replaced.
