Discussion and possible action to enter into a construction contract with Midas Contractors, LLC in the amount of TWO MILLION THREE HUNDRED FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,345.000) for a renovation project to the building located at 111 Camino Nuevo Road (off Highway 359) which will house the CAA’s Meals on Wheels and Social Services Programs (ARPA Project No. 8), with a substantial completion date of Two Hundred Ten Days (210) from the Issuance of the “Notice to Proceed”, and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. [Account # 2703-5205-001-474501 (American Rescue Plan Act of 2021-American Rescue Plan-Administration-Construction in Progress]
 
Issue: There is a necessity to relocate the CAA’s Meals on Wheels and Social Services Programs from their current locations. The Commissioners Court authorized the Purchasing Agent to send out Competitive Sealed Proposals (ITB) 2025-004 for such work. 
 
Solution: At the Commissioners Court meeting of December 9, 2024, the court awarded CSP 2025-004 to Midas Contractors, LLC to do the renovation project.
 
Result: The Contractor will substantially complete the project within two hundred ten (210) calendar days from the issuance of the “Notice to Proceed” by Webb County.
