Discussion and possible action to authorize the development and submission of the FY2026 State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) application. This grant aims to develop and establish appropriate governance structures, with funding not exceeding $200,000.00, and authorizing the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents created to this matter. This grant requires a 20% match. All necessary documents have been sent for review through the Economic Development Department, and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures.

Issue: The current policies and procedures are not formally documented to outline the actions to be taken in the event of a cyber-attack. 

Solution: Hire a consultant to develop and create a written plan for responding to a cyberattack. 

Result: Applying for the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) will help secure funding to contract a consultant who will formally document the response plan for a cyberattack.
