Discussion and possible action to ratify and approve the purchase of two (2) APX-8000 Mobile radios including programming and installation for a total amount not to exceed $17,447.32 from Motorola (Contract No. 17724-HGAC (TX)-RA05-21) for the Webb County Constable Pct. 4 office and in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code Sub-Chapter F. Cooperative Purchasing Program, 271.101,271.102 (Cooperative Purchasing Program Participation) and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: Grant funding has been reallocated to Webb County for the purpose of purchasing additional moblie radios to enhance law enforcement communications.
Solution: Consideration to authorize grant funded equipment for law enforcement use. Motorola has a cooperative contract with HGAC, meeting all competitive bidding requirements of the State of Texas.
Result: If approved, proceed with order. The estimated time of delivery is 60 days or less.
