Discussion and possible action to authorize a donation of gym equipment (Valued at $2,000) from Blueline Boxing Gym pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code §81.032, Acceptance of Donations and Bequests (a) commissioners court may accept a donation of labor or services, gift, grant, donation, bequest, or devise of money or other property on behalf of the county; and any other matters incident thereto.
Issue: The Webb County Sheriff’s Office Boxing Gym is in need of gym equipment. The donation of gym equipment will provide the community and participants with essential equipment for use in training and fitness.
Solution: Consideration to accept the donation, as per the Texas Local Government Code, of gym equipment from Blueline Boxing Gym.
Result: Gym equipment will be available for training and promoting overall health and well-being for all members.
