Discussion and possible action to authorize a thirty-six (36) month professional services agreement, effective October 01, 2025 through September 30, 2028, between Webb County and Arturo Garza-Gongora, M.D. for Jail Inmate Medical Services, pursuant to the Texas Government Code; §2254.008 (Contract for Professional Services of Physicians, Optometrists, and Registered Nurses) at a monthly cost of Twenty Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-One Dollars ($20,821.00) and any matters incident thereto; authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. [Account #1001-4070-205-432001 (Professional Services)]
 
Issue: The contract for medical services will expire September 30, 2025. Recommendation to consider a professional service agreement with Arturo Garza-Gongora, M.D. in accordance with the Section 2254.008 of the Texas Local Government Code.
 
Solution: Consideration to authorize a professional services agreement for requested services with recommended Physician.  A contract awarded under this section is not subject to competitive advertising and proposal evaluation requirements.
 
Result: Medical services for Webb County jail inmates.
