Discussion with legal counsel regarding County of Webb v. Purdue Pharma, Inc., et al., MDL PRETRIAL CAUSE NO. 5:18-cv-00011, in the District Court of Southern District of Texas, Laredo Division, removed to MDL 2804, N.D. OH. and to consider adopting a Resolution Authorizing Approval of Proposed Opioid Settlement with Six Remnant Defendants and further authorizing the County Judge to execute the Combined Subdivision Participation and Release Form to approve and participate in the proposed settlement offer from six regional distributors/dispenser defendants (“Remnant Defendants Settlement”): Associated Pharmacies, Inc (and American Associated Pharmacies); J M Smith Corporation; Louisiana Wholesale Drug Company, Inc.; Morris and Dickson Co.; North Carolina Mutual Wholesale Drug Company, Inc.; and United Natural Foods, Inc. (including its subsidiaries SuperValu and Advantage Logistics) (“Six Remnant Defendants”), and to release the claims against the Six Remnant Defendants any other potential action needed; authorizing the County Judge to sign the Resolution and other relevant documents.
