Discussion and possible action to award Invitation to Bid 2026-004 “Heavy Duty Vocational and Dump trucks for Webb County” to the lowest responsible bidder Volvo and Mack Trucks of Waco in an amount not to exceed $455,135.00 (Qty. 1 – 2027 Mack Pinnacle P64R Dump Truck and Qty. 2 – 2027 Mack Pinnacle P64T Tractors w/Wet Kit) pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code; Sub-Chapter C. Section 262.021 (Competitive Bidding in General) and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #2007-7150-001-470000 (Road & Bridge Fund-Road Maintenance General-Administration-Capital Outlay)]
 
Issue: Currently there are 2 - dump trucks and 3 - semi-tractors that will be retired from the Road and Bridge Fleet.  These Units will serve as replacements.  There is only funding for 1 New Dump Truck and 2 Semi Tractors due to other ongoing projects that will be expensed from the Capital Outlay account under the Road and Bridge Department.  
 
Solution: Consideration to award to the lowest and responsible bidder Volvo and Mack Trucks of Waco.  A total of 5 bids were submitted in response to the public bid solicitation posted.  Low Bidder is also offering a 5 year/300K mile engine plan and exhaust warranty for an additional $4,900.00 per chassis. 
 
Result: If approved, orders will be initiated and the estimated time for delivery is 90 days for the semi- tractors and 120–150 days for the dump truck.
