Discussion and possible action to approve the posting and filling of the following slot as well as any remaining vacant slot created by promoting from within, subject to the availability of payroll funds and any applicable Civil Service guidelines, effective April 13, 2026.
Issue: Slot 0268 became vacant on April 9, 2026. This slot may be filled from within, thus creating a vacant Assistant Public Defender II slot.
Solution: To post and fill the vacant Supervising Attorney slot (#0268), and to post and fill any remaining vacant Assistant Public Defender II slot created by promoting from within.
Result: This action will allow our department to fill our vacant supervising attorney slot, fill any remaining vacant slots created by promoting from within, and will allow our department to continue to function efficiently and effectively.
