Discussion and possible action to enter into an Agreement with CID Group Inc. for the installation of Speed Humps on selected roads in the City of Oilton and Colonia Los Altos (Los Altos Drive) in an amount not to exceed ONE HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY-THREE DOLLARS THIRTY-TWO CENTS ($110,463.32) and a timeline to complete the installation work of ninety (90) calendar days from the issuance of the “Notice to Proceed” by the Engineering Department and any matters incident thereto; authorizing the County Judge to execute all relevant documents. Issue: Oilton and Los Altos residents have voiced concerns regarding automobiles speeding around a baseball field in Oilton, Texas and in Colonia Los Altos.  At its January 26, 2026 meeting, the commissioners court authorized the Purchasing Agent to advertise a formal invitation to bid for the installation of Speed Humps in the City of Oilton and Colonia Los Altos.
 
Solution: At its meeting of April 13, 2026, the Commissioners Court awarded Invitation to Bid 2026-005 “Speed Cushion Installation for Los Altos Drive and Oilton, Texas” to CID Group In. in an amount not to exceed $110,463.32.
 
Result: This project will reduce vehicular speeds, improve roadway safety, and enhance neighborhood traffic conditions while maintaining emergency vehicle accessibility.
