Discussion and possible action to submit the FY 2026 State Application 5311-2026—State Rural Public Transportation Grant by Webb County Community Action Agency to the State of Texas through TGEMS (TxDot website) in the amount of THREE HUNDRED FOURTEEN THOUSAND AND THREE DOLLARS ($314,003.00) acting through the Texas Deapartment of Transporation wherein Webb County El Aguila Rural Transit will be applying by meeting the desired deadlines; and designating the Webb County Judge as authorized official in all matters pertaining to this grant; and any matters incident thereto. This grant does not require a cash match, and thus will have no impact to the General Fund.  All required documentation has been submitted to the Economic Development Department for review and was found to be compliant with the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) policy.  [Requested by Community Action Agency]

Issue: Rural Public Transportation is a grant-funded agency.

Solution: Through the approval of the Commissioners' Court to submit this application, El Aguila Rural Transit will be able to receive these needed grant funds.

Result: Approval of the state grant application will ensure the continuation of transportation services to the rural areas of Webb County.
