Discussion and possible action to submit a FY 2026 Federal Application 5339-D-2026 Discretionary Transportation Grant by Webb County Community Action Agency to the State of Texas through TGEMS (TxDot website) in the amount EIGHTY THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FIFTEEN DOLLARS ($83,915.00) acting through the Texas Department of Transportation wherein Webb County El Aguiula Rural Transit will be applying by meeting the desired deadlines, and designating the Webb County Judge as authorized official in all matters pertaining to this grant; and any other matters incident thereto. This grant does not require a cash match, and, thus, will have no impact to the General Fund.  All required documentation has been submitted to the Economic Development Department for review and was found to be compliant with the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) policy. Issue: El Aguilar Rural Public Transportation is a grant-funded agency.  

Solution: Through the approval of the Commissioners' Court to submit the application, Webb County will allow the department to receive funds.

Result: Approval of the application of the grant will ensure the continuation of transportation services to the rural areas of Webb County.
