Discussion and possible action to approve the purchase and installation of access control equipment for the Dean Senator Judith Zaffirini Justice Center from Johnson Controls Fire Protection Sourcewell (Contract #121024 JHN), including replacement of existing server and workstations, access control equipment and panel, card readers, hardware and installation of three (3) double doors, system programming and warranty, for an amount not to exceed $103,485.78 and in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Section 271.101 & 271.102 (Sub-Chapter F. Issue: Replacement of the Justice Center building’s current access control system is needed to improve control, reliability, and enhance safety and security.
Solution: Approve the purchase and installation of the access control server, system and doors for access control from the parking garage into the building.
