Discussion and possible action to ratify the submission of a Meeting Unmet Need Acceleration Grant to the Meals on Wheels America National Organization estimated at $160,000 for meal production, meal delivery, kitchen infrastructure, vehicle support (maintenance, gas/fuel), staff/operations and as prepared, written, and submitted by the CAA grant writer in collaboration with CAA/Meals on Wheels Program administrators, and designating the Webb County Judge as the authorized official to execute all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. This grant requires no cash match; and, thus will have no impact to the general fund.  All required documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures. Issue: The Meals on Wheels America National Organization has a funding opportunity available to local Meals on Wheels Program utilizing funding made available by MacKenzie Scott’s philanthropy. 
 
Solution: Supplemental grant application will allow expanded capacity for the Community Action Agency and its Meals on Wheels Program.
 
Result: The Webb County Community Action Agency (WCCAA) Meals on Wheels Program will be able to expand services to those currently on the waiting list.

The Webb County Community Action Agency Meals on Wheels Program was invited to apply for a Meeting Unmet Need Acceleration Grant by the Meals on Wheels America National Organization to utilize funding provided by MacKenzie Scott.
