- Mayor Lopez-Viado- requested that the representative from the Library speak first during Oral Communication- No Objection
- Mayor Pro Tem Cantos — Requested an agendaize an official policy that moving forward with decisions relating to street sweeping implementation that we set the policy of not removing the permit arrangements that have already been petitioned by different residents throughout different parts of the City. Second my Gutierrez - no objection
- Revert to the street sweeping schedule that was in existing prior to 2025. Second by Councilmember Gutierrez
- Mayor Pro Tem Cantos requested that the street sweeping contract be reverted back to 2025. Second by Councilmember Gutierrez - 2-3 Motion failed.
- Councilwoman Diaz requested an amendment to the Nationwide contract with different time zones/street sweeping schedules (day and times), to clarify what other cities are doing, and taking into account where there is already permit parking. Second by Councilman Wu — there was no objection.
- Councilman Gutierrez - Requested to suspend parking enforcement at this time and increase outreach - There was no second.
- Councilman Cantos — Congratulated DMV West Covina for donation registrations.
- Councilwoman Diaz — Thanked staff for a fabulous 4th of July celebration.
- Councilwoman Diaz - Mentioned that she is a member at Sunday Car wash and on Sunday they have a food truck.
- Councilman Wu Thanked staff and the residents for a great event on the 4th of July and gave condolences to the community member that was injured by a stray bullet.
- Councilmember Gutierrez - thanked staff for going above and beyond for the celebration of the 4th of July.
- Mayor Pro Tem Cantos - Asked the Fire team to improve the dissemination of announcements when there is a fire in the area.
- Mayor Lopez-Viado - Stated that staff made the Council proud; the event was smooth, and she was able to engage with residents.
