Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the Lucas Device Agreement for the term of 10/01/2016 - 09/30/2020, with Physio Control, Inc.

Requested by Mr. Mike Knipstein, Deputy Director of Williamson County EMS; this is for three (3) new Lucas Devices and one (1) Lucas Device already on an Agreement that expires on August 4, 2017, that will continue its service on this Agreement effective August 5, 2017. Lucas Devices are used by emergency services to provide continuous chest compressions (CPR) to victims. The survival rates of victims increase when CPR is administered without interruption. This mechanical device allows that continuous coverage. This plan includes maintenance (inspections, repairs, etc.) and two (2) battery replacements. Quote reflects three line items: zone travel (charged for year 2-4) at $200/yr for $600.00, prorated fees - plus three (3) years on the device currently in place for $4,157.87, and charge for three (3) new devices for a four (4) year period for $13,950.00, for a total charge of $18,707.87 during the time frame of October 1, 2016 - September 30, 2020.
