Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on appointing a representative to serve on the Regional Board of Directors of TexHealth Central Texas, Inc. 

Regarding appointing a Board member, currently they are in need of fund raising professionals and could always use a lawyer.  They currently have a CPA accountant on the Board and another would always be welcomed.  It is entirely up to the Court who is nominated.  They can live in the county or not, work for, or in the county or not, etc…
 
Board meetings are on the 4^th Thursday of each month except November & December (only one meeting for those months) due to the holidays.  So chances are the appointed member will not join the Board until the January meeting.  Out of respect for Board members time, they have conference call capability to allow members to participate without the extra drive time.  For those who do appear in person (office is in Austin), they provide sandwiches and water since the meetings are from 12 noon to 1:30pm, lunch time.
