ORANGEBURG, N.Y. — Dynarex, a leading medical products brand and provider of disposable medical products, is acknowledging its appreciation for and commitment to first responders through the 2017 “First Responder Caring Award.” Dynarex would like to recognize a first responder or department who in 2017, has demonstrated the essence of caring or compassion, which can include personnel in EMT, EMS, paramedic, police or fire.  The company wants to hear from the first responder community with unique and newsworthy stories of heroism, exceptional community service, acts of compassion or demonstration of caring and commitment to others.

A panel of independent judges from the first responder community including Sean Caffrey of National EMS Management Association, Gary Wingrove of The Paramedic Foundation and a representative of Lisbon-Mount Vernon Ambulance Service, as well as representatives from Dynarex, including CEO Zalman Tenenbaum and Clinical Advocate Janette Ostrander, will select four regional winners (West Coast, South, East Coast and Central States/Midwest) and one national grand prize winner.

Dynarex will award $5,000 in medical supplies to the national winner and $1,000 in medical supplies to each of the four regional semi-finalists, which can be donated by the winner to their unit or to a worthy 501c3 nonprofit of their choice.
The submission should include background/history on the first responder and/or their EMS department and information on why the individual or unit/department should receive Dynarex’s “First Responder Caring Award.”  Inclusion of photos, video or news clips is encouraged. Winners will be announced on October 18th, 2017 at the EMS World Expo Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
