Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on update from the Williamson County Historical Commission and defining the process for accepting applications and appointing members to fill five vacancies on the Williamson County Historical Commission.
Background
Williamson County Historical Commission Chair Eloise Brackenridge will give an update on the activities of the Commission. The Williamson County Historical Commission has approximately five vacancies to fill. Attached to this item is a draft release that is very similar to the release that was sent out in 2014 to assist the Williamson County Commissioners Court in identifying people interested in serving on the Williamson County Historical Commission. The process in the past was for the Commissioners Court members to receive the applications and then to recommend people for the Commissioners Court to vote on to serve.
