Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the professional services contract between Baer Engineering and Environmental Consulting, Inc. and Williamson County for inspection and certification services of the Edwards Aquifer in the amount of $1,226.78, and authorizing execution of the agreement.

The services contract includes a geologist's site visit to conduct tank hold inspection for sensitive features prior to tank installation, and preparation of certification. Tank hold excavations must be inspected for the presence of sensitive features by a geologist. The geologist must prepare a certification, signed, sealed and dated, stating that the excavation has been inspected. This certification must be submitted to the appropriate Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regional office. If a sensitive feature is discovered, the applicant must propose methods to protect the feature and the Edwards Aquifer from potentially adverse impacts to water quality from the underground storage tank system. Installation activities may not proceed until the executive director has reviewed and approved the proposed methods. The department point of contact is Dwayne Gossett. This expenditure wil be charged to P324 which was approved as a capital request for FY2018.
