Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the purchase from Blackmon Mooring of Austin Inc. in the amount of $25,000.00 and exempting this purchase from competitive bidding requirements as per Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemption 262.024(a)(2) and 262.024(a)(3).
Background
Due to a 3 inch water main break above the ceiling in the medic ward of the jail, the building sustained a flood event that caused up to 4 inches of water to build up in many offices. The offices affected include the medic ward, pharmacy, booking and surrounding offices and hallways. To prevent further damage and to salvage building material it was necessary to take immediate action. This expenditure was charged to 01.0100.1008.004510.
