Hear Presentation by Jim Bracken, Commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Texas Capital Chapter 1919, and Consider and approve adoption of the Resolution by the Commissioner's Court to have Williamson County designated as a Purple Heart County.

The City of Georgetown Texas has been designated as a Purple Heart City, however, that designation also exists for Counties. What better recognition of the sacrifice by those members of the Military and military Veterans who have been injured and subsequently awarded the Military Order of the Purple Heart for injuries acquired during combat, than to have Williamson County join the current Texas Counties in having them designated as "Purple Heart Counties", to show support for that sacrifice. Williamson County is a great supporter of Veterans and their families. This just goes the extra step to show that support to persons who are driving on Williamson County highways.
This Resolution would be presented during the Field of Honor in Georgetown Texas in November of 2018.
