Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on awarding IFB #1808-256 Ronald Reagan Blvd Turning Lanes Widening at Santa Rita Blvd to the lowest responsive bidder, Joe Bland Construction and authorizing the execution of the agreement.
Background
Williamson County received 6 bids and the IFB was viewed by 44 suppliers. The contractors bid is $39,958.60 above the Engineer’s Estimate, an increase of 9.5%. In addition to meeting the bid requirements, Joe Bland Construction has performed similar work on other projects and received positive references from those contracted. Based on the low bid of $420,608.60 and previous quality of work, the County Engineer’s Office recommends to the Commissioners’ Court, awarding Joe Bland Construction the contract for Ronald Reagan Blvd Turn Lanes Widening at Santa Rita Blvd. Estimated time of 30 working days to final completion.The point of contact is Terron Evertson, P.E.
