Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on an Interlocal Cooperation Contract between Williamson County and Department of Public Safety for Crime Laboratory Services to not exceed $258,910.26 for the term of October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019.

This is a renewal of the contract with DPS wherein DPS has agreed to analyze controlled substances, marijuana, and blood alcohol evidence submitted by law enforcement agencies within Williamson County. DPS will assign the services of 3 full time employees to perform such analysis service. The DPS staff will be designated to work on Williamson County cases before examining evidence from other agencies as long as this contract is in place. This contract will terminate on September 30, 2019 and may be renewed on an annual basis upon written agreement of the parties.
