Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on appointing Judge Gravell to the Texas Conference of Urban Counties Policy Committee for 2018-19.
Background
The appointment would be for the remainder of the 2018-2019 term and needs to be a member of the Commissioners Court. The by-laws of Urban Counties provide that each member County with a population of 400,000 or more may appoint one member of the Policy Committee. Meetings are quarterly, with an annual conference in January. During legislative years, meetings are more frequent (usually monthly in Austin).
