Discuss, consider and take appropriate action regarding the conversion of the Facilities Director position (PCN 0245) to a new position of Senior Director of Facilities and Management Planning.

In accordance with Williamson County Compensation Policy this request is being put before the Commissioners Court for consideration.  Action has been requested to convert the Director of Facilities position PCN 0245 to a Senior Director of Facilities and Management Planning. This move would result in the PCN being placed on the EX chart and with an annual salary increase of $17,781. The position would report directly to the Commissioners Court. The salary increase has been reviewed by Human Resources and is within the recommended amount based on their compensation review. The funding for the salary increase is outside of the established guidelines and would commit the Commissioners Court to an increase of $21,635.92 to next year’s budget. The funding needed for this this current year of $12,620.96 is available in the Facilities 509 budget from unused salary dollars and the effective date would be 3/8/19. Both amounts include FICA and retirement calculations.
