Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 2 (Austin Traffic Signal) in the amount of $31,300.00 for Neenah Avenue at Pearson Ranch Road Traffic Signal, a Road Bond project in Commissioner Pct. 1.

This Change Order adds bore items necessary to replace existing conduits that were found to be damaged and also adds an additional month of barricades to the contract.The plans called for the use of existing conduits that were installed on previous contracts and some of these conduits were found to be damaged or missing. The contractor, Austin Traffic Signal, had to install one 3" and two 2" PVC conduits at two separate locations to replace damaged and missing conduits. The new conduits were installed by boring under the roadway instead of open cutting. Twenty-three (23) days were added to the contract due to the additional work for the connection between the Austin Energy (AE) power drop and the service meter near the signal controller. The additional time is for AE to inspect the work at various phases of construction. For this additional work and time, one month of barricades has been added to the contract.
