Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on the line item transfer for the District Clerk Office.

The transfer is requested in order to purchase a high quality scanner for the scanning of trial exhibits. I did not budget in this year's budget and request that the transfer be approved for purchase. The exhibit clerk has only the basic document scanner and it cannot handle the volume and the clarity needed for storing exhibits in the system. The copies are difficult to make from the image as they are not color for some of the photographs and just unable to read in some cases. These images are reproduced for attorneys and the courts. The exhibits can range from photos, maps, grids, etc. not the usual documents that come in on a regular basis from e-Filing for the  basic scanners that are being used in other areas of the office.
